Treatment & Recovery in Antalya
Your dental treatment, in a place worth recovering in.
A dental holiday isn’t a holiday with dentistry squeezed in — it’s serious treatment by professor-led dentists, with the travel, hotels, transfers and recovery time fully handled, in a Mediterranean city that happens to be beautiful.
✦First, the important part: Dentarma is a serious clinical practice led by two university professors. The “holiday” is simply that Antalya is a comfortable, beautiful place to be while you’re treated and while you recover — not the reason to come.
01 · The Idea
What a dental holiday actually means.
It’s a simple idea — combine the dental treatment you need with a comfortable stay in a destination you’d happily visit anyway. Here’s the honest version of what that involves.
For most UK patients, the maths is straightforward. Major dental work — implants, full-mouth restoration, a smile makeover — is expensive and slow to access privately in the UK, and effectively unavailable on the NHS. The same treatment in Turkey, using the same implant brands and materials, costs a fraction of the price even after flights and accommodation.
A “dental holiday” simply means combining that treatment trip with the things that make travel pleasant — a comfortable hotel, good weather, time to rest and recover properly, and a city worth stepping out into when you’re feeling up to it. The treatment is the reason for the trip. Antalya is what makes the trip comfortable rather than clinical.
It’s worth being clear about one thing: this is not a beach holiday with a dentist appointment attached. The first priority of your visit is your treatment, performed properly, by qualified professionals. What Dentarma does is make sure the rest of the trip — the parts that usually cause stress and uncertainty — are completely handled, so you can focus on healing well and, when you’re ready, enjoying where you are.
02 · Everything Handled
The parts that cause stress — we handle all of them.
The anxiety of dental travel isn’t really about the dentistry. It’s about the logistics — airports, taxis, hotels, language, finding your way around. Every one of those is removed.
What a treatment trip actually looks like.
Every treatment plan is different, but here’s how a typical week-long visit unfolds — for example, a veneers or crowns smile makeover. Implant treatment is usually split across two visits.
✦ A note on recovery and realistic expectations
Recovery is real and it deserves respect. After implant surgery or extensive treatment, you will need genuine rest — the first days are for healing, not sightseeing. Antalya is a wonderful place to recover precisely because you can rest comfortably and then, as you feel better, step out gently. We schedule treatment so recovery is built in — never rushed. If your treatment is implant-based, your visit is usually split into two trips, with the bulk of healing happening at home in the UK.
04 · The Destination
Why Antalya is an easy place to be.
If you’re going to travel for treatment, the destination matters. Antalya is one of the most visited cities in the Mediterranean — and for good reasons that matter when you’re recovering.
Easy to reach
Direct flights from across the UK
Antalya International Airport is one of the busiest in the region, with direct flights from many UK airports — typically around four hours. No connections, no complicated routing.
Gentle climate
Warm, calm and comfortable
A mild Mediterranean climate for much of the year — warm without being harsh. Comfortable conditions to recover in, whether you want to rest indoors or sit quietly by the sea.
Something to see
History, harbour and old town
When you feel up to it, Antalya’s old town — Kaleiçi — offers a historic harbour, Roman-era architecture, and quiet cafés. Gentle, walkable sightseeing rather than anything strenuous.
Comfortable stays
Hotels built for comfort
Antalya is a major destination, so the standard of hotels and hospitality is high. Comfortable, restful accommodation — exactly what you want when the priority is healing well.
05 · Who Comes
Coming alone, or bringing someone.
There’s no single right way to do a treatment trip. Here’s how different patients approach it — all of them well looked after.
Travelling solo
Many patients travel alone and are completely comfortable doing so. Between the transfers, the hotel, and a dedicated coordinator, you’re looked after at every step — you’re never actually on your own with it.
Bringing a companion
Plenty of patients bring a partner, family member or friend — for company, support, or simply to share the trip. We can help arrange accommodation for companions as part of planning your visit.
Making it a proper break
Some patients extend their stay either side of treatment to make a genuine holiday of it. Once your clinical schedule is set, the surrounding days are yours to use however you’d like.
Why it still costs less — even with the trip.
The question every UK patient asks: once you add flights and a hotel, is it really cheaper? For major treatment, the answer is almost always yes — significantly.
Major dental work in the UK private sector runs into many thousands of pounds. The same treatment at Dentarma — using the same implant brands and materials — costs a fraction of that, and our packages already include the hotel and transfers.
The travel isn’t an extra cost stacked on top. Most of it is already inside the package price.
What UK patients ask us most.
Is a "dental holiday" just marketing for cheap dentistry?
No — and we’d encourage you to be cautious of any clinic that sells it that way. Dentarma is a serious clinical practice led by two university professors. The “holiday” element simply means the trip is comfortable and well-organised, and that Antalya is a pleasant place to recover. The treatment itself is the priority, performed to a clinical standard you can verify through our credentials, government registration, and 309+ verified reviews.
How long will I need to stay in Antalya?
It depends entirely on your treatment. Veneers and crowns are usually completed in a single trip of around 5–7 days. Implant treatment is typically split into two visits — a first trip for surgery, then 3–6 months of healing at home in the UK, then a shorter second trip for the final teeth. We’ll tell you exactly what your plan requires during your free consultation.
Will I be well enough to enjoy the trip?
Honestly — the first days after treatment are for resting, not sightseeing. Recovery is real and we build it into your schedule. That said, most patients feel comfortable enough to gently enjoy their surroundings as the trip goes on — a quiet meal, a walk in the old town, time by the sea. We’d never encourage you to push yourself; the priority is always healing well.
Can I bring my partner or a friend?
Absolutely — many patients do, and it’s often a real comfort to have someone with you. We can help arrange accommodation for a companion as part of planning your trip. Just let us know when you’re discussing your treatment plan and we’ll factor it in.
What happens if something goes wrong after I fly home?
Your care doesn’t end when you leave Antalya. Dentarma works with GDC-registered partner clinics in the UK — in Glasgow, Surrey and North Croydon — for follow-up checks and aftercare. The clinical team also stays reachable on WhatsApp, and our treatment guarantees mean any warranty-related issue is properly looked after.
Is it safe to travel to Antalya for treatment?
Antalya is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, welcoming millions of international visitors every year, with infrastructure built around international hospitality. Dentarma itself is registered with the Turkish Ministry of Health and listed on the Health Türkiye government portal. As with any travel, we’d always suggest checking your government’s current travel guidance when planning.
Do I have to book my own flights and hotel?
Hotel accommodation and all transfers are included in your treatment package — arranged for you before you arrive. Flights are the one thing you book yourself, which gives you the freedom to choose your airport, dates and airline. Your coordinator will tell you exactly which dates to book around once your treatment plan is set.
