Two founders. Twenty years. One promise kept.
Dentarma is led, and has always been led, by Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker and Assoc.Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker. This is the story of how they built the practice from a small founding team in 2002, what they specialise in, and why every patient still meets a founding professor on day one.

Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker
Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker is the founding implant surgeon at Dentarma. Trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he has dedicated his career to advanced implantology performing over 12,000 implant procedures since 2000, including complex zygomatic implants, full-arch reconstructions, and bone-grafting cases that other clinics decline.
He is a board member of the Turkish Society of Oral Implantology and a certified specialist in Straumann, Straumann Neodent® and Nobel Biocare implant systems. He continues to publish in peer-reviewed implantology journals and lectures internationally on full-arch implant rehabilitation.
At Dentarma, Prof. Dr. Şeker personally places every implant and personally reviews every full-mouth case before treatment begins. Twenty years on, this has never been delegated.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker is a periodontist and implantologist at Dentarma, with a clinical focus on gum health, implant stability, soft tissue management and aesthetic gum harmony.
After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry, she completed her doctorate in Periodontology at Near East University. Her work focuses on the foundation of a healthy smile: strong gums, stable bone support and carefully planned implant treatment.
At Dentarma, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker plays a key role in implant and full-mouth rehabilitation cases, especially where gum condition, bone support, recession or soft tissue aesthetics can affect the final result. Her approach is not only about placing teeth, but creating a healthy and stable foundation for long-term success.
For smile makeover and full-arch cases, she works closely with the restorative team to ensure that the gums, implants and final ceramic restorations are planned together. This helps patients achieve a natural-looking result, avoiding the artificial “Turkey teeth” appearance that has become so common online.
Every aesthetic and implant case is carefully reviewed before treatment begins, with attention to gum levels, smile line, bone support and long-term maintenance. Patients are guided through the plan step by step before any clinical procedure starts.

Two decades, one practice.
From a five-person founding team in 2005 to a twenty-five-strong specialist practice in 2026 — without ever opening a second location, without ever taking outside investment, and without ever delegating a full-mouth case.
Dentarma is founded in Antalya.
Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker and Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker open Dentarma in the Lara district with a founding team of five. First patients are local Antalya residents.
THE START
First international patients arrive.
Word-of-mouth referrals through academic networks bring the first patients from Germany and Italy. The clinic begins building its multilingual capability.
In-house dental laboratory opens.
Investment in an in-house dental lab removes dependency on outsourced lab work and reduces full-mouth case turnaround from weeks to days. Master ceramist hired full-time.
5,000 international patients treated.
Five thousand international patients treated since opening. The clinical team grows to fourteen specialists. UK patient inquiries begin to dominate the inbox.
MILESTONE
3D CBCT imaging suite installed.
Investment in cone-beam CT scanning for accurate implant planning and bone density assessment. Prof. Dr. Şeker becomes the practice’s first Straumann-certified surgeon.
UK Consultation Days launched.
First face-to-face UK consultation events held in London, Manchester, and Birmingham — addressing patient demand for in-person assessment before flying to Turkey.
800m² premises completed.
Major expansion to current ground-floor premises in Lara — adding a dedicated patient lounge, additional treatment rooms, and a separate consultation suite.
10,000 patient milestone reached.
Ten thousand international patients treated. Trustpilot rating maintained at 4.9/5 across all reviews — the same standard maintained since the practice’s first online review in 2012.
MILESTONE
First UK aftercare partner established.
Partnership with a GDC-registered Surrey clinic establishes the UK aftercare network — addressing the most common patient anxiety: “what happens once I’m home?”
UK aftercare network expanded.
Glasgow and North Croydon partner clinics added. UK aftercare network now covers 90%+ of UK patients within 90 minutes’ drive of an aftercare appointment.
15,000 patients · 30,000 implants placed.
Fifteen thousand international patients treated. Prof. Dr. Şeker’s career implant count surpasses thirty thousand. Specialist team grows to twenty-five.
TODAY
International patient lounge opens.
Construction of a dedicated lounge for international patients arriving directly from Antalya International Airport. Opening Q3 2026.

We have been offered the investment to scale into a multi-clinic chain. We have chosen not to. The moment a practice prioritises volume over standards, every patient becomes a transaction.

Independence, fully.
Dentarma is owner-operated. There is no investor pressure to upsell, no corporate quotas, no group-clinic protocols. Clinical decisions are clinical decisions, made by the clinicians treating you.
