Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker
Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker began his career in dentistry at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2000 — one of the most respected dental institutions in Turkey. After graduating, he became a Research Assistant in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry at Near East University Faculty of Dentistry in Northern Cyprus, where he was part of the founding academic team of the new dental faculty.
In 2010, he received the title of “PhD and Doctor of Science” and “Prosthesis Specialist” from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health. His doctoral thesis — “Examination of Force Transmission in Implant Supported Porcelain Teeth in the Upper Jaw with Bone Grafts by Three-Dimensional Finite Elements Method” — established his lifelong specialisation in implant biomechanics, the technical study of how chewing forces affect implants and surrounding bone over time.
He went on to teach as Assistant Professor at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Dentistry for five years, training undergraduate and postgraduate dentists in prosthodontics, implantology and digital dentistry. In 2017, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor at Eskişehir Osmangazi University.
In 2018, he established Dentarma in Antalya — bringing his academic standards and biomechanical research expertise into a clinical setting focused entirely on advanced implant treatment and full-mouth restoration.

Assoc Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker began her dental education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry — Turkey’s most respected and historically significant dental institution. From the start of her academic path, she was drawn to periodontology, the dental specialty focused on gum health and the supporting tissues around teeth — the foundation that determines the long-term success of every implant and crown placed above it.
She completed her PhD at Near East University, where she also served on the founding academic team of the dental faculty alongside Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker. She subsequently joined Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology as a Lecturer and Clinical Specialist, then as Assistant Professor — teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate dentists while actively performing clinical procedures.
In 2022, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor — recognition of years of combined academic research and clinical work. Alongside her university role, she moved fully into advanced clinical practice in Antalya, focusing on implant surgery, periodontal treatments, and the periodontal foundations that determine long-term implant success.
Her clinical research interests include dental implant surgery, dental laser applications, plasma disinfection, wound healing, and bone regeneration techniques — all areas directly relevant to the long-term success of full-mouth implant cases treated at Dentarma.

A Founding Partnership
Two professors, one practice.
Prof. Dr. Emre Şeker and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Şeker have worked together since their earliest academic days first as members of the founding faculty at Near East University, then as Assistant Professors at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, and since 2018 as the co-founders of Dentarma.
Their academic specialisations are complementary by design. Prof. Emre is the prosthodontist and implantologist focused on the implants, crowns, bridges, and the biomechanics of how forces transfer through restorations. Assoc. Prof. Başak is the periodontologist and implant surgeon focused on the gums, bone, and biological foundation that determines whether those restorations succeed long-term.
Every full-mouth case treated at Dentarma benefits from both perspectives. The biomechanical engineering of how the new teeth will function. The biological foundation of how the gums and bone will support them. Together, that’s the full picture of what makes implant and full-mouth treatment last for decades.

Founding Philosophy
The principles that founded Dentarma.
When two academics decide to leave full-time university work and open a clinic, they bring expectations the dental tourism industry usually doesn’t meet. These are the three founding principles Prof. Emre and Assoc. Prof. Başak set before opening Dentarma’s doors in 2018.
Principle 01
Founder-led, never delegated.
Every full-mouth case is personally led by one of the two founders — Prof. Emre for implants, Assoc. Prof. Başak for periodontal and aesthetic work. Never handed off to associates, never managed remotely. The same hands review every case, every time.
Principle 02
Standards over scale.
The Turkey teeth reputation exists because high-volume clinics prioritise patient throughput over treatment quality. Dentarma is deliberately limited in case volume — the founders won’t take on more cases than they can personally lead. Quality scales linearly with attention. Attention is finite.
Principle 03
Independence, not investor pressure.
Dentarma is owned and operated by the founders, not by a private equity group or chain. No quarterly growth targets, no franchise pressure, no shareholders demanding margin expansion. The clinic is run for the long-term reputation of two academic careers, not a quarterly P&L.
